BRASIL: 1100 kHz Radio Globo, São Paulo SP, no signal. (RG). Out in
definitive? Last days it was announced, and suddenly, since 0300 UTC
(10/02), no more signal from Radio Globo, São Paulo. (RG).
BRASIL: 1160 kHz Radio Cacique, Taubaté SP, Portuguese, 10/02 1942. Female
voice: phone-in, announcer: ‘...você ouve a Rádio Cacique de Taubaté...’.
25542 (RG).
BRASIL: 1210 kHz Radio Vanguarda, Sorocaba SP, Portuguese, 10/02 2005. Time
checking and id (jingle): ‘Vanguarda’. Songs: Dolly Parton, Lulu Santos,
Abba. 25552 (RG).
BRASIL: 1240 kHz Radio Clube, Santos, Portuguese, 10/02 2012. Advs
...’Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus, Avenida Ana Costa...’ (Santos). 35553
(RG).
CHILE: 1100 kHz BBN, via Viña del Mar (tent.), Spanish, 11/02 0150. Id
‘BBN’, male communication, a Christian song by female voice. 25332 (RG)..
With no signal from Radio Globo São Paulo, it was possible a regular
reception from BBN. In South America, BBN uses 2 stations on 1100 kHz for
their services: Viña del Mar (Chile) and Bogota (Colombia). Using a loop
antenna, a better signal comes from Chile region, not in Northern South
America.

Based upon the time, I don't think it's anything too too far east of me. I
think it's West or South... I'd say north, but there's only one 1380 in
Canada and that's Ontario's CKPC.

I wonder if it's a Mexican station?

It’s not KUVR. their engineer didn’t check the playlist but they’re running
a blistering 5 watts into a horribly inefficient antenna right now

This is getting annoying.. for the last week, I've had a "mystery" station
on 1380khz I've never been able to match to a stream or event a recently
played list.

I ma in Laramie, Wyoming and sometime between 630am and local sunrise or
so, I catch a station playing some oldies/adult contemporary music.

Last week, I heard "Turn Me Loose" by Loverboy

Today I heard "Carrie Me, Carrie".by Dr Hook Medicine Show.

It does NOT and has never matched KRKO, KCIM, or KCII whenever I check
those streams. It isn't CKPC because they're well into sunrise and country
music formatted. It also isn't KQKD because they're country as well.

I feel like I'm missing something even though I've sourced radio-locator.com
and the TopazDesigns AM broadcast search engine.

Any ideas?
