Glenn Hauser logs July 23-24, 2023  View Printable Version

Hauser
** BRAZIL. 9665.067, July 24 at 0650, RVM music measured direct, I
think accurate to a few Hz; but earlier at 0508 via Maryland remote,
9665 - 77 Hz = 9664.923. Using sync readouts on remotes, one must be
sure they be calibrated accurately by tuning them to WWV: this varying
within 2 Hz of 10000, no doubt receiver instability not transmitter.
Wolfgang Bueschel took issue with measurements in my previous report,
but seems RVM vary considerably in short term (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. Since Spain closes early on weekends, hardly anything on
16m, UT Monday July 24 at 0033; best is 17565, JBA in Chinese? CNR1
not sked per Aoki & EiBi until 0100 with nothing to jam. JBA carriers
on 17595, 17580, 17495. EiBi & Aoki agree 17595 & 17580 also CNR1 but
nothing on 17495 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non?]. Re my UNID 6100 DRM log, David Crawford, FL
replies: ``gh, RHC Spanish was actually in that mess last night,
checked/heard on 6100 at 0515 and 0605, via Bauta site, parallel 9700
Bauta at first check, with 9700 gone at second check. The 6100 audio
was mostly some kind of noise with low real audio, 9700 was clean.
15230 had a signal on it, probably RHC SPN, but too weak to copy in
cx, which would be via Quivicán site. No Bejucal signal has been noted
since 9 July.``

What I heard at 0534 was nothing but DRM noise; or are you suggesting
that the ``mess`` was not really DRM but some other kind of crap out
of Cuba? BTW, my ref to the DRMRX sked not listing anything on 6100
was really A23, not A22 typo.

6100 checked again July 24 at 0506 into Maryland remote, 0531 direct,
NO signals, AM, RHC nor DRM (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11850, July 24 at 0040, RHC S9/7 but JBM, ho hum, as usual
where always something`s wrong (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 93.9, July 24 at 1949 UT, lower-half bandscan on caradio
finds no Es nor any expected but can`t help but notice dead air from
KIMY Watonga, `The gospel station` - still dead a semihour later
check, 2019. And *still* dead at another recheck 2359 UT. Standard
remark about no one at station paying attention (Glenn Hauser, Enid,
WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 90.9 & 91.1, July 24 at 1948 UT, the two Air One stations
are not // with separate announcements, rejoining then for music. On
one caradio I cannot tell if exactly synchronized, but doubt it. I
don`t think there were any local contents to the anmts, so don`t know
why they bother.

90.9 is KOKF Edmond/OKC; 91.1 is local KKRD Enid. As long as branding
spelt Air1, WTFDA DB displays 10 of them in OK, 6 of them translators
each with a different primary and KKRD also as a relay: of KYRA 92.7,
unlike any of the others; where`s that? Thousand Oaks CA, why not? Is
that network HQ? Guess not: money goes to Omaha (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Monday July 24 at 2200, token English from REE
previews repeat of a 2-parter from last October about Witch-Hunts,
just before Hallowe`en, ``no news since it`s summer``! Had made
special point of listening today for indepth coverage of yesterday`s
national elexion! Fail. VG into Maryland SDR, and other 3 also
audible, 15520, 17715, and with usual squeal, weakest 11670. Over to
simul-TURKEY (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [and non]. 11785.009, July 23 at 2227, VOT English is not
off the air. S9+40/50 into UTwente, repeat of the `DYKT` feature about
600-year-old castle voiced by the badax; 2224 ``Always with you``
promo, music; 2234 `New Day, New Choices` about e-waste --- hmm,
electrons are really, really tiny. That feature name I don`t often
hear, maybe only Sundays as promised return next week; I had not been
listening on Sundays because of `UBMP` on WBCQ 7490-, but this week
it`s some drama filler. 2241 song; 2249 different song; I missed s/off
but 2253 IS to 2255*, failing to run an extra hour or two in German,
Portuguese (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.003, July 24 at 2202, VOT English not off the air
today, S9+40/50 into UTwente. Tune-in during news, as Spain q.v. is
broken, Hallowe`en repeat instead of breaking news anything about
yesterday`s elexion! 2209 `Review of the Tuerkiyeish Press`, over as
barely started by 2211. Distorted modulation thruout, worst during
music breax. 2217* dumps off the air; *2219 back on and off again, now
offset .009, different unit? *2222 back on at .007, different2 unit?
with dead air at first, stays on so brings up modulation at 2223, just
in time for theme of `Feeling Supreme/The Healing Spring`, which is
about the benefits of persimmons, especially Trabzon dates.
Multi-lingual ID filler reel. 2232 `Did You Know That` by the badax,
about Ottoman Empire WWI peace treaty. 2235 brief dropoffair. 2236
distorted music. 2241 `Always By Your Side` promo and `New Day, New
Choices` different subject than yesterday but missed it. 2246
distorted music. 2251 s/off. 2252 IS.

2256 restart IS with German IDs. 2300 still on with timesignal and
opening German, still going past 2315. 2318, multi-lingual ID filler
reel. 2326 off air, but false stop, right back on with music.
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler. We hear the same program
themes as in English, like `Feeling Supreme` ending at 2338. I wonder
if the German titles make any more sense than English. 2342, `Wussten
Sie das?` Google says original Tuerkiyeish would be ``Bunu biliyor
muydun?`` Entire extra hour succeeds, 2356 IS now with Portuguese IDs,
but finally off at 2401 check, opening frequency for weaker China
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2200 monitoring: confirmed Sunday
July 23 at 2000 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323 kHz, S9+5/15 over CCI
presumed Brighton making medium SAH.

Also confirmed UT Monday July 24 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, JBA S5/S7
direct --- but no 14-second noise blast QRM to start; I usually but
not always hear that on 7780 via various remotes.

Also confirmed UT Monday July 24 at 0302 on Area 51 via WBCQ 6160 -67
Hz = 6159.933, S9/+5 into Maryland SDR. JL had gotta go by 0301.

** U S A. More replies July 23 to my WBCQ 5130+ reports: Larry Will:
``According to Timtron, the transmitter on 5130v is a BC-610-I putting
out about 300 watts. Lw``

``I have been told that this is being tested 24/7. Maybe this will
prove to be a bone for the hard-core dx crowd, at least during the
daylight hours when it truly will be a difficult catch. In the dx
world, perhaps less truly IS more. --Bill Tilford``

So I do try it direct circa 0025 UT July 24: yes, JBA carrier on
approx. 5130.45 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9455, UT Mon July 24 at 0042, this WRMI-5 is S9/+25 but just
barely modulated, language uncertain, Spanish? Italian? Hyper
enthusiasm smax of a stupid ballgame. Transmitter skedgrid claims RAE
Japanese relay this hour from System K. But System K sked itself
claims Legends. And the separate RAE grid shows nothing at this hour.
Transmitter grid shows Legends not until 0100 on 5050, which indeed is
not on yet. Contradixion after contradixion (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VATICAN [non]. 7305, July 24 at 0047 S9+20/30 of dead air,
obviously USAGM Grimesland `warming up` for VATICAN Portuguese &
Spanish relays at 0100-0200, violating Separation Of Church And State.
?? You see, the secular USG is showing extreme favoritism for one
particular sect. All other gospel huxters could insist on equal
access. Are the Catholix billed for burning an extra quarter-hour of
juice? The finances of this deal would be very interesting; since VOA
also goes out via SMG, it`s an ``exchange``, but I doubt the hourspans
and kW match, let alone the true bottom-line expenses (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. 9664.837, July 23 at 0527, R. Voz Missionária with music
and ID. So down 64 Hz since last measurement one pentaday ago July 18
at 0627 on 9664.901 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EUROPE. 6185, July 23 at 1849 tune-in via UTwente, S8/S9 pop song
in Dutch? prior to much-publicized *1859-2104* reactivation of Free
Radio Service Holland. Nothing on 7700 yet, just clix. Also good sigs
of music on 5800 & 5810 but neither // 6185, so other pirates? At
1858, 6185.003 goes to open carrier, 1859 resuming with `CE3K` tones
in music. By 1900, 7700 is on with ID in English. Now 6185 sounds like
two different musix mixing. At 1903, measured 7699.900/907, 6185.014,
and 5790 doesn`t want to synch but occasionally flashes around
5790.277. 1911 frenetic DJ in Dutch with frequencies. Using UTwente
only, I`m on only one frequency at a time, but switching back and
forth, I hear that 6185 and 7700 are several seconds out of synch, so
playouts from separate sites? Only 6185 is a known listed frequency,
for Piepzender in Zwolle, licensed. It seems FRSH wants to remain
unlicensed. In their publicity it looks like the streams from July 26
will be running one real UT hour earlier from 1759, unless conversions
mixed up (Glenn, Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2200 monitoring: confirmed UT
Sunday July 23 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S7/9+10 but noisy into Durango2
SDR. Later S8/9+15 into Louisiana also noisy.

Also confirmed UT Sunday July 23 at 0320 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO,
S9+10/20 into nearby SDR about 5 minutes into so started circa nominal
0315.

Also confirmed Sunday July 23 at 1356 the 1330 on WRMI 9955, S7/S9
direct, no jamming audible. As for the Fri 1430 on 9955 being
replaced: on Sunday at 1430, Wavescan is still running among the three
dozen weekly times scheduled on WRMI. Next:

** U S A. 5130.496, July 23 at 0653, WBCQ again S7/S9 on secret
frequency varying ever upward, music, 0656 DJ mentions ``BCQ 7490``;
0700 canned Weiner ID and WBCQ jingle, and back to hyper DJ. Replying
to my previous report, Bill Tilford, Indiana, says ``I'm not involved
with it, but I have been advised that they are testing a lower-powered
transmitter on 5130`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 6095-6100-6105, July 23 at 0534, DRM noise S9/+10.
Nothing listed. RHC AM still appears listed on 6100 at 05-07 but
unheard for a long time. KCBS P`yongyang would be on 6100 AM now, and
does have DRM capability but it`s too early to propagate. EiBi alone
shows Radio France DIGITAL on 6100 but at 0000-0030 only; also not DRM
at 1500-1600 22 July only for MiniTransat Sailing. It seems another
yacht race in the N Atlantic is underway so there should be more such
broadcasts maybe not yet known to what extent. The DRMRX A-22 sked
updated July 22 has nothing on 6100 either. I continue to object to
in-band DRM noise polluting AM SWBC bands. Let them DRM as much as
they wish on fixed utility bands (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

BEWARE RF-NOISY LAMP. A nice bright LED ring lamp on a totally
adjustable gooseneck turns out to be source of S9 RF noise across the
LF, MF and HF spectra on my nearby R75. As long as it`s plugged in,
whether turned on or not. It also has USB port we had been using for
charging a small fan, which makes it even worse. Here`s the
boilerplate info, not admitting explicitly to ``made in China``, but
surely is. We got it at, where else, Walmart:

INTERTEK 5005686 - Model: MTSLL 1038AHG
WM ITEM No. :MS3128087567007
Ratings: 120Vac, 60Hz, 4W

Also with logo in a circle: ETL with smaller letters: C US cm listed.
Now it`s banished to elsewhere in the house and/or unplugged while
DXing (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RC USB, Friday July 21 circa 1455, quick check
of Argentine remote finds NO signal from LRA36, despite this latest?
sked revision via Manuel Méndez: ``Whatsapp received 12-07 Translation
from Spanish; "This year we are on air for now, on short wave,
Wednesday and Friday from 1300 to 1800 UTC, and on Saturdays from 1800
to 2300. I also inform you that we are analysing being able to
broadcast in a few weeks from Monday to Friday, from 1600 to 2000 UTC,
and on Saturdays from 1800 to 2300 UTC``

15475.98 RC USB, is certainly on air Saturday July 22, S3/S5 via
Argentine remote from tune-in 1803: nothing but songs, no
announcements until finally at 1828 CW, 1829 LRA36 standard
multi-lingual s/on; 1830 opening recitation in Spanish, credit to Walt
Guzman? or was it Whitman, surely not. 1833 seems live now with
afternoon greetings on `Uniendo Voces` program, joint produxion with
RAE, Univ. de Quilmes; names of staff present; mention of a fiesta;
rebroadcast by 95.7 in Catamarca and another; 1844 mentions miércoles
19 de julio, so possibly this was recorded then; 1848 LRA36/RAE joint
ID, Fiesta Nacional de -- algo; 1859 songs; 1903 canned IDs, contact
info; 1905 weather check including temp -11 now; 1908 discussing
events this week in 1969, notably Apollo 11; 1915 songs; continues
chatting with music breaks; 1958 ID with reverb. I`m not fluent enough
to follow much of it in casual colloquial conversations, less than
perfect reception. Past 2000 now there is rapid noise QRM. 2006 ``RAE
Argentina al Mundo`` and multilingual ID. Not heard by 2130 recheck
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11670, July 22 at 0635, RHC Spanish extra frequency tonight.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Also confirmed Saturday July 22 at 1930 on WRN North America webcast.

** U S A. 9395, 5010, 7780, July 22 at 0121/0129, these WRMIs are OFF,
and 7570 is JBA while it ought to be much stronger than 7730. Why? All
these confirmed ON: 5050, 5800, 5850, 5950, 7730, 9455, 9955, 15770.
This is evening prime-time when 12 of the 13 transmitters are supposed
to be active; one more, #1, is never running per skedgrid; and #7 on
17790 only in daytime (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. (7490), UT Sat July 22 at 0000, WBCQ webcast of `AAAWWW`,
seems like a new one. Allan admits right off, that whenever they go
political, people hate it, and then proceeds to do exactly that along
with Angela on phone. Basically their delusion is that in the past 2/3
years, terrible things have happened to our country since the elexion
was ``stolen``. And e.g., there would be no Russian war in Ukraine if
``Our President`` were still in office. Proving a negative? Enough,
turn off. But said quadricasting, so I do check out the 4 SW
frequencies, into Maryland remote:
3265.151, JBA
5130.442, S6/S7 in HSNL
6159.933, S8/S9
7489.928, S9+5/20
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5130.396, July 22 at 0635, JBA talk, music? in HNL until I
get rid of that ringlamp. At 0651 music, S3/S6, 0653 talk; 0657 seems
like ID for AM and FM stations, Planet; 0700 finally recognizable WBCQ
jingle ID!! 48 hours ago had carrier on 5130.21, and once before, R.
Caroline programming.

Note how closely this match the WBCQ measurement a few hours earlier,
5130.442. The R. Angela transmitter was never so far up, only a little
bit down, so presumably another test of another unit. Has AW said
anything about this on air, on twit or on website? BTW, strangely
enough, there is another non-pirate OOB broadcaster closer to 5130.0,
Kyrgyzstan, unlikely to be confused with, I hope (Glenn Hauser, OK,

frequency tonight, S9+. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760, July 21 at 2014, RHC in French, S4/S7. WRTH Update
July 14, already a week old! shows 2000-2030 French only on 15140, to
NAm. I also check 15140, but its air is dead tho about same rating
S4/S7. EiBi shows 11760 is supposed to be in a break 20-21 UT, or
starting earlier with some irregulars. Aoki shows 11760 off at 18-21.
No two schedules will ever match, including on RHC own website - at
least labeled as a few years out of date. Somethings` always wrong at
RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ROMANIA. 11970-11975-11980, July 21 at 2015, DRM noise S1. I bet
it`s RRI: yes, scheduled French & English 20-21 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Friday July 21 at 2200, token M/W/F English from SNR
is back after anomaly Wednesday preëmpted. S9+10/20 into Maryland SDR,
Previews to be about a comic artist, and Spanish becoming the #1
foreign language studied in UK, surpassing French: I know I`ve heard
that one before, so I`m paying more attention to simulTurkey, q.v.
Before 2200 a bandscan also hit 17715 and 15520, but not 11670, off or
not propagating? Conditions have been VP lately, summer doldrums not
reflected in the indices (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.019, July 21 at 2200, VOT English not off the air
today, S9+30/40 into UTwente. 2219 2-minute multi-lingual ID filler
reel. 2221 `Weekly Analysis` on Recep`s trip to three Gulf Arab
states. 2227 song. 2230 `Feeling Supreme/The Healing Spring` on
benefits of soybeans. 2240 `Always By Your Side` promo. 2241 `Did You
Know That` by badaccentedess on a 600-year-old castle still in use.
2245 song. 2249 `With You 24 Hours` promo and multi-lingual ID filler
reel again. 2252 canned incomplete s/off sked by badax. 2254 IS
fragment and off* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2200 monitoring: altho still on the
websked, again this Friday July 21 at 1430, NOT on WRMI 9955. Last
week something unID in Spanish; this week also Spanish, Argentine
accent and orientation, about FIFA? So apparently RAE relay. No ID or
wrapup before chopped to WRMI ID at 1459. Anyhow 9955 JBA direct, poor
via Maryland remote so I also bring up the 9955-only webcast. Here the
audio sounds like an off-air SW relay, which we never expect to hear
on WRMI. 1500 webcast goes to DW Afrika via WRN; 9955 to music and
bibling, no doubt TOMBS and not turned off by 1503. Something`s odd at
Okeechobee. Sked for System B 9955 shows 1430-1500 includes other
media programs, `Wavescan` Mon & Sun, `SW Radiogram` Tue, `Hobart RI`
Wed, `Frecuencia al Díia` Thu. Are all these blown away too? I have
not checked.

WOR 2200 confirmed Friday July 21 at 2030 on IRRS SW via AM Italia,

** CUBA. 11760, July 20 at 0623, RHC Spanish S9+10/20 but vs S9 high
local line? noise level all over LW, MW and SW. Tonight`s extension
channel. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. Research on KVIS, 910, Miami [``Miamuh``] in the NE
corner of OK, which has changed format in the past year; to update
entry in the next NRC AM Log, to be published in next few weeks.
Editor Wayne Heinen needed info by July 20, altho possible further
changes to press time.

May 27: KVIS-910 Format? Saw a report today that says KVIS is now C&W
from GOS/REL. Anyone on the [IRCA] list able to confirm or deny it?
Website
still has the “King’s Vision” logo but the stream doesn’t work. 73
Wayne Heinen N0POH, Editor, NRC AM Radio Log, Aurora, CO

gh: I monitored it May 29-30, see my previous reports not repeated
here. Now in July, I can`t get anything vs summer storm levels plus
high local noise level about S9! So I asked our monitor in Tulsa,
Chris Krug, to check, and here is our correspondence about it:

July 8: Hi Chris, I wonder if you could check something out, at your
convenience in the next week? For the NRC AM Log we are trying to
determine the current slogan/ID and format of KVIS 910 Miami OK. I
have a hard time hearing it especially with the summer/storm noise
levels. It`s same direxional pattern day and night and looks like it
would favor Tulsa. Tnx,
Glenn

July 9: Things are great here Glenn! I`ve been listening this morning
since 1220 UT, seems to be a non-stop loop of Christian soft rock
(actually, every song sounds very much like the last). I was able to
Shazam a couple songs (“Testimony”-Kate Hill 1253, “Snakes in the
Grass” - Kate Hill 1256), no ID at the BOH nor the TOH. Still going at
1307, no announcers between songs and no ID thus far. I’ll check more
through the week. 73 Chris KC5IIE

July 15: Well, Glenn, I wish I had something definitive to add here. I
listened each day for the past week at various times of the day,
sometimes in the shack and from my truck. When on the air, they play a
non-stop loop of Christian pop music. I did note however, on Jul 11
(1200 UT) there was just a carrier with no programing. They were back
on the 12th, but completely gone (no carrier, no programing) at 1500
UT on Jul 13. Back on 1145 UT on the 14th, but I did note an empty
carrier again at 1300 UT later that morning. They are back on this
morning (Jul 15). It seems like there’s a lack of human oversight
here… Have a great week! Chris KC5IIE

July 16: Chris, Many tnx for all your monitoring. Deadline is July 20
so if you have anything to add --- like if they ever announce or ID.
That`s the same situation I had when I did hear it for over an hour
several weeks ago [all music, album trax with pauses, no announcements
or IDs whatsoever for over an hour including hourtops]. Lately too
much storm noise. 73, Glenn

July 17: Sure thing Glenn, I checked it a couple times yesterday and
will continue to do so through the week. It seems to be audible after
630 AM CT; I haven`t been able to copy in the evenings. Have a great
week! 73 Chris KC5IIE

July 19: Interesting change this morning on this. I tuned in at 1132
UT to hear the close of “Headlines Through a Catholic Lens”, followed
by discussion of daily prayer. The signal was very tough to copy, but
I believe I heard “This is Catholic Radio News” at 1143. The signal
pretty much gone by 1200 (I was hoping for that elusive ID). This
afternoon they’re back to nonstop music. Google shows the Catholic
Radio Network is based in KC, MO and has affiliates in Kansas,
Colorado and Missouri, no reference to KVIS though, and no affiliate
on 910 kc. I’ll check it out again in the AM. 73 Chris KC5IIE

July 20: False alarm, Glenn, the station I copied yesterday (and
today) is KATH in Frisco, TX, TOH ID with slogan “Radio for your
Soul”, affiliate of
the Guadalupe Radio Network at 1200 UT. I think KVIS is still playing
nonstop music (as I copied late yesterday). 73 Chris KC5IIE

** OKLAHOMA. 106.9, July 20 at 1736 UT, ad for First National Bank of
Elk City & Sayre, YL with 100-degree weather:
KTIJ 106.9 ELK CITY OK CONTEMPORARY HIT RADIO CONTINUOUS HIT MUSIC,
106.9 THE ZONE 100.0 299.0 34-58-39 99-24-35 4305 K-HIT 726-5656 Kidd
Kraddick Morning Show & Continuous Hit Music! foxradio.fm Top 40
Another fruitless check for Es but tropo up from W OK, also 96.5 KECO,
99.3 KCLI -- tho 99.3 first had another atop, maybe Es. On 106.9
usually get KHTT from the east, Muskogee (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. Some area DTV tropo enhancement, UT July 20 after 0508:
RF 21, 40-1 KHBS-DT, Ft Smith AR brief decode an no chance to check
out its four channels; its site is in OKLAHOMA! RF 17, 10-1 KTENNBC
Ada; 10-2 KTEN-CW; 10-3 KTEN-ABC; all in solid so Enid local K17JN-D
must be off. Meanwhile have had BAD signal on 17, which may also have
been KTEN before it got a boost. Fixed antenna toward OKC also favors
Ada almost.

Reminds me of KTEN`s situation long ago in analog era really on 10:
one signal, but sharing NBC and ABC programming, apparently
cherry-picking. Networx must have put up with it, as was long a
2-station market with KXII 12 Ardmore, which also did a share, IIRC,
CBS and NBC. At least without cable, this area a bit too far from OKC,
and DFW. In this opening also some of the regular Tulsans (Glenn
Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SPAIN. Confirming my suspicion about no English from REE, Wed July
19 at 2200: ``Re: [WOR] No English from Spain tonight --- I asked and
the reason was: `The broadcast in English was not broadcast yesterday
because there was a political debate for the national election to be
held on Sunday and it lasted longer than expected` -- Mauno Ritola``,
WOR iog -- i.e. past local midnite (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO

** U S A. (101.1), KSFR Santa Fe NM: for a couple weeks have not been
able to hear webcast. .org website is OK and Play button worx, but
silent. Among my favorite shows is `Beyond Borders`, world music,
Thursdays 15-18 UT. At 1811 UT I am jarred by abrupt start of stream,
as I had forgotten I had left it ``running`` -- not what must be on
now, but the beginning of `BB`, as if knew that`s what I wanted to
hear! Must have been building up delayed for 3+ hours. Now I hate to
stop or pause it as may not be able to resume, but WOR produxion time
is nigh (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 5130.21, July 20 at 0633, suspicious S8/S9 open carrier.
Suspect WBCQ testing a non-Angela transmitter. Several weeks ago I
caught R. Caroline programming on here, believed WBCQ but not
confirmed (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
