Notices to Shipping in South Coast Nova Scotia area. Notices to Shipping revising the position of every reported offshore exploration and exploitation vessel`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA. KCRC drops ESPN for CBS Sports
   By Bruce Campbell Staff Writer 6 hrs ago

Listeners of KCRC Radio (1390 AM) woke up to a new sound on Monday. The station officially made the switch from ESPN to CBS Sports Radio.

"ESPN had lost so many of its high-profile guys,'' said KCRC sports announcer Tom Nelson. "We felt the quality of their product had gone down, about the only high quality show was Mike and Mike In The Morning. They were going to bump up their fees, so we felt it was a good time to start looking around to different options.''

CBS, Nelson said, was the best option with high profile names such as Jim Rome (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and Doug Gottlieb (2 to 5 p.m.), a former Oklahoma State and Oklahoma Storm player. Amy Lawrence, who got her radio start in Woodward, will be on from 1 to 5 a.m.

Gottlieb and Lawrence both used to be on ESPN. "That's huge for us,'' said Nelson about the acquisition of Rome and Gottlieb. Because of the move, KCRC will lose ESPN properties such as Sunday Night baseball and some college football.

However, CBS is tied in with Westwood One where the station in the past has picked up NFL and NCAA basketball tournament games. "I'm sure we'll add some more Westwood One stuff,'' Nelson. "ESPN forced us to play a lot of stuff unless we were doing a local game. We had to run the British Open. It's to tough to do golf on the radio.''

The move won't affect local programming such as Enid Sports Talk Live, Enid football and baseball and area football and basketball.

Instead of calling themselves ESPN Sports Talk KCRC, they will go by CTB Sports 1390 AM KCRC. "It's a great move for us,'' Nelson said. "We have our own brand now.''

The rest of the lineup will be Gio and Jones from 5 to 8 a.m., Tiki Barber and Brandon Tierney from 8 to 11 a.m.,, Damon Amendolara from 5 to 9 p.m. and Scott Ferrall from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

"We're excited to have the opportunity to bring CBS Sports Radio to Northwest Oklahoma,'' said CTB general manager Sandy Daniels. "Their lineup, from top to bottom, is solid and it just builds on the sports commitment that CTB Sports has made in the area.

** OKLAHOMA. 13980, August 1 at 1328, looking for Firedrake or CNR1 jammers, instead find a weak buzzy signal in Spanish? mixing with something, symptomatic of a mixing product from the overloaded R75: yes, barely // 15370 RHC, minus 1390 kHz from my strongest local KCRC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

=================

** U S A. 810, August 1 at 0215 UT, romantic music in Spanish loops east-west, which rules out MÃxico and makes it very likely New Mexico`s KSWV Santa Fe. Dominant signal making fast SAH with something, CO or MO? SeguÃs 0216 UT, 0220 UT with no announcements at all, but the final tune cut short at 0221 UT to dead air, 0223 UT off the air. Or rather maybe cut from 5000 to 10 watts night power U1 per NRC AM Log. FCC official July sunset was 0215 UT; August: 0200 UT (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 820, 830, 840, 850, 870, 1200, July 29 until 0327 UT, I check part of the MW band just as Hillary is finishing her acceptance speech, and surprised to find in the 800s at least, she`s live on multiple stations, even WBAP! WCCO, WHAS, KOA, WWL; and WOAI, among certainly others (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

==================

UNIDENTIFIED. 1330+ & 1350-, July 30 at 0244 UT, can`t hear any matching spurblobs from some 1340 station, and haven`t been checking for them nightly, but Randy Stewart in Springfield MO reminds me the suspect 1340 there is now KICK, ex-KADI, and could be the source (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1330.25 & 1350.15, July 31 at 0055 UT, JBA carriers hetting 1330 & 1350 stations, approx. measurements implying the center fundamental frequency would be 1340.20, but I don`t hear anything there separable from the 1340.0 pileup. This early, almost an hour before sunset, implies it`s east of here rather than west, axis already DF`ed (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
