During the doldrums of summer, one has to have fun in other ways, so I
tuned the Perseus remote receiver in New Delhi, and tuned to 1368 which is
in DRM mode, and with 2 mono channels. Channel 1 is Vividh Bharti with
Indian music, but what was fun is that the song sung was, "I am a Disco
Dancer". Most strange! Channel 2 is FM Rainbow, with more western
sounding programming. English programming on the 2nd channel. Both are
only at low bit rates of 8.08 kbps. All this at 04:00 UTC 13 June 2016.
102.6 MHz announced on the FM Rainbow channel. "Enjoy the listenning
(sic) of DRM quality IN MW". Even they suffer from drop outs despite a
very strong signal, though. Nothing noted tonight on 1081. 73, Walt
