[IRCA] TP 7 Apr Victoria version
Quite a collection this morning from Australia through China and Japan.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
594 JOAK man and woman in Japanese 1258UT
774 JOUB 1310UT man in Japanese, far in the background was a woman
talking //612 for 3LO
828 JOBB 1259UT, English lessons //774
1566 HLAZ man in Japanese 1300UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
747 JOIB man in Japanese //774 1310UT
972 HLCA woman in Korean, into female oriental vocal 1255UT
1053 Korean jammer 1257UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
558 HLQH man in Korean 1308UT //603
639 5CK?? man in DU English, 1325UT, topic of cars? mention of
Australia, 1327UT "the latest ABC news" was mentioned, unfortunately
faded by 1330UT. 5CK is more "common" on DXpeditions, but nothing
here really to hang my hat onto; it would be new at home.
891 unID man in DU English 1304UT, 5AN? (but heard NHK pips at
1300UT, and there was Japanese //594 mixing in by 1307UT)
945 CNR1 woman in Chinese //6125 1308UT; SW parallels have been very
poor before sunrise, rising to quite good levels by an hour later.
1242 JOLF woman in Japanese 1320UT
1287 JOHR man in Japanese 1327UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
603 HLSA man in Korean //558 1308UT
612 4QR woman talking 1310UT //774
702 2BL pips and fanfare heard as early as 1000UT, also w/woman
talking //612 at 1313UT, trading places with NHK2 //774.
819 N. Korea martial music //2850 1312UT
846 2RN slow jazz instrumental //576 1317UT, and with imagination,
traces on 621 also.
981 CNR1 woman talking //945 1308UT
1107 man talking, sounded like DU English inflection 1318UT
1323 CRI? woman talking, maybe Russian/ 1315UT, no SW parallels
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
621 738 846 918 936 954 1035 1116 1134 1143 1179 1206 1269
1314 1332 1386 1422
best wishes,
Nick
