Subject: [IRCA] TP 4 Apr Victoria version
A considerably better than expected morning, though with lots of
splash, and the bulk of the lift was just before 1300UT rather than later
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native
speaker, at least briefly):
828 JOBB 1244UT, English lessons.
1566 HLAZ woman in Japanese 1244UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
567 JOIK men and women talking and laughing //594 1236UT
594 JOAK as above //567 1238UT
774 JOUB woman in Japanese 1332UT; underneath was a man talking //612 for 3LO.
891 JOHK pips, then man mentioning NHK //594 which was weaker, 1300-01UT
972 HLCA man in Korean 1234UT
1053 Korean jammer 1235UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
747 JOIK man in Japanese //828 1235UT
837 JOQK woman and man in Japanese //594 1302UT
1134 JOQR assumed w/rock music, male vocal sounded Japanese 1254UT,
chimes and pip on hour mostly buried by splash.
1287 JOHR man and woman in Japanese 1302UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
531 man mumbling across the hour 1300UT
612 4QR woman and man, news?, DU English inflection, 1301UT
846 NHK1 man talking //567, 1253UT, a bit of a dig to hear this.
1098 man mumbling 1252UT
1323 woman talking 1247UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated
or ravaged by splatter)
702 864 873 918 1107 1215 1269 1386 1422
best wishes,
Nick
