[IRCA] 3" FSL Tecsun PL-380 TP-DX for 3-14

There was reasonable Asian propagation on both the low and high band this morning but only a couple of the big gun regularsÂmanaged very potent audio. 594-JOAK and 1566-HLAZ were the best of the bunch with temporary good levels, although both 603-HLSA and 1593-CNR1 had extended runs from 1330-1400 with fair signals.

At my 1300 start time the high band led the show, with both 1566 and 1593 having fair audio in and out, and both 1503-JOUK and 1575-VOA managing brief gasps of audio. 1566-HLAZ's Japanese service came up in strength to a good level around 1335 just before the switch to Chinese, but never reached its potent level of two days ago.ÂThe low band picked up some energy around 1330, with 594-JOAK hitting brief good levels, and 603-HLSA coming out of the noise with fair-level pop music in and outÂ(hosted by the deep-voiced male). The NHK regulars on 693, 747 and 828 didn't sound very energetic in comparison to a couple of days back, and 972 never really got untracked here. Propagation on both the low and high band tapered off rapidly after 1410, with 594 and 1593 the last to pack it in around 1415. Overall the session was pretty typical for March, without anything particularly exciting.
