[IRCA] TP 12 Mar Victoria version

I'm not sure this was an improvement on yesterday, but it certainly lasted a lot closer to local sunrise (1430UT roughly). In fact, weak audio was noted on both 1242 and 1287 at 1526UT, an hour past sunrise.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

774 JOUB man in Japanese 1335UT //828
828 JOBB as above //774. This was heard quite strongly as early as 1053UT, with 774 even earlier
972 HLCA male vocal ballad 1337UT
1566 HLAZ man in Japanese accompanied by solo cello 1339UT, but also peaked to this level several time during the later Chinese program, as late as 1413UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK jazz vocal 1326UT //891
612 4QR likely with woman in DU English 1345UT followed by country music

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

567 JOIK female vocal 1338UT //594
873 JOGB man in Japanese //774 1332UT
891 JOHR female jazz vocal //594 1327UT
954 JOKR man in Japanese 1341UT
1053 Korean jammer 1344UT
1287 JOHR likely pop music 1352UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

603 HLSA man talking //558 1349UT
693 JOAB man in Japanese //774 1345UT u/690 splash
702 NHK2 man in Japanese //774 1100UT
837 JOQK woman in Japanese //567 1344UT
864 unID rock music 1346UT
918 deep voiced man 1334UT, no idea
945 man talking, sounded Chinese? 1351UT
1242 man talking 1352UT, Japanese sounding
1386 NHK2 light music //774 1339UT, also man talking on another station
1575 man talking 1359UT, SE Asian intonation, but nothing useable on the hour, though some audio crept through

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

738 846 909 1017 1044 1098 1179 1206 1269 1422 1503 1593

best wishes,

Nick
