Les,
Â
Thank you very much for your generous comments about Satoshi's reception of 630-4QN in Japan, and also about the FSL-enhanced PL-380 model. The Japanese do have somewhat of an advantage in transoceanic DXing because almost all of them live within an hour's train ride of an ocean beach. We should all be so lucky!
Â
Todd, I wish that there was enough time here to make these models for others, but about the best thatÂI can manage right now is to post the detailed information on how to construct these "Science Fiction PL-380" models (at http://www.mediafire.com/download/w0gcek56f6aq7kr/3_Inch_FSL_Tecsun_PL.doc Â), and try to help out if someone can't track down the parts. Someone who is technically qualified and who has some spare time could probably make these quite easily, if he can find his own supply of the 100mm ferrite bars (the current supply bottleneck).

Does anyone "build" these additions for a cost?
