[IRCA] TP 28 Feb Victoria version
All over the map this morning. If I'd chosen a channel between
1430UT and 1500UT, something might have popped up at some point if
I'd listened for the whole time to just that channel . Mostly
really erratic, and a strong Phillippine/Indonesia-1377 leaning, but
China, Australia, Japan, Korea, maybe New Zealand earlier, all seemed
to be around A pity that none near the coast seem to have heard
anything after yesterday's alert. And, congratulations on Indonesia,
Nigel; good to see shared information leads to such worthwhile returns.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1377 RRI Toli Toli. In and out 1426-1505UT, peaking at this level,
would have been perfectly readable for much of the time if not for
1380 splash. Checked a couple of times vs. webstream, then became
second nature, hi.
1566 HLAZ man in Chinese 1443UT, had to be part of the festivities
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
594 JOAK man in Japanese 1259UT, pips; also good around 1445UT
774 JOUB man in Japanese 1259UT, pips
1026 slow music 1429UT; man at 1430UT sounded Tagalog; got to get
some webstreams straight...when there's time, hi
1215 Philippines???judging by other DX channels; slow vocal music 1439UT
1512 DYAB? slow male and female vocals 1443UT, think I heard some
Tagalog somewhere, but it was all pretty confusing
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
972 HLCA man in Korean 1318UT
1548 4QD man in DU English 1452UT, seemed //612 which was much weaker
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
558 man and woman talking 1445UT, not //603
567 JOIK man talking //594 1446UT
603 soft music 1445UT
828 JOBB man in Japanese //774 129UT
981 oriental sounding singing and accompaniment 1307UT China?
1008 woman talking, could have been Tagalog 1436UT
1314 woman talking 1444UT
1422 big carrier man talking 1442UT
1574 light singing by woman 1522UT, long after everything else was gone
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
531 891 1188 1242 1386 1404
best wishes,
Nick
