Re: [IRCA] "Star Wars" Shootout-- Sony ICF-S5 "Superstar" Vs. "Science Fiction PL-380"

Thanks Nick,

The wimpy signal from 1070-CFAX to the SE is actually a boon for fanatical antenna experimenters 100 miles away :-) It has provided a nice,Âghostlike daytime DX signal for all kinds of bizarre A/B antenna tests for over 8 years.

Some of the daytime DX signals from BC (like 730 and 1130) are way too strong to be of any use in antenna testing. CFAX is just barely there-- wimpy enough to be an ideal target!

We should work out how much of CFAX's 10 kw goes in your direction
Gary. Â It's highly directional away from you, so is much better
daytime DX than the power rating sounds like.

best wishes,

Nick
