I've been impressed with its performance when I've had the opportunity to use one at DX get-togethers and DXpeditions.  But the darn thing is just too big and cumbersome for me to own personally.  I like having a loop antenna that is  easily portable and can fit inside a gym bag -- or a suitcase if it doesn't take up a lot of room amidst all the clothes. 
 
I currently own a Quantum QX Pro loop, but it has a nagging short below the tuning knob, and I'm thinking of unloading it soon.  Would absolutely LOVE to find a Palomar LA-1 for sale, along with accompanying loopheads for MW and LW.   Every time I've seen one go on sale recently on Ebay, though, it's been snatched up before I can make a bit on it.
