[IRCA] TP 27 Jan Victoria version

Not yesterday's DX session by any means. A couple of audios before 1400UT, then nothing much until sunrise enhancement, and then everything, such as it was, was above 1550kHz.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

1566 HLAZ woman in Japanese and pop sounding music, 1327UT.

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

1566 HLAZ pop music 1545UT, and as it faded somewhat by 1552UT, there was a man talking, trading places with it, Chinese inflection, so the jammer was making it also it seems

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

738 Tahiti? pop music 1349UT
1557 Taiwan assumed, quiet vocal music peaking 1545UT, man talking as it faded, sounding Chinese 1593 CNR1 woman and man talking, //6030 1548UT, with 6030 not as good, and other parallels MIA. Not good news when shortwave is worse than medium wave. Best on north Flag in spite of worse splash from 1600kHz

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

1287 woman talking Japanese inflection, 1349UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

the above passing through, not much action today.

best wishes,

Nick
