[IRCA] Audacity audio problem - resolved (thank you)

I received a variety of suggestions, toyed around with things, and while I am not sure what worked in the end things seem OK now. I am not familiar enough with the technical end of things, so just tinkered around at random with suggestions made. It's possible I was working with one or two recordings that were not good. I have a ton of catches that are sitting on longer files so I can now get to trimming the fat and making logging-specific files.
