[IRCA] TP 17 Dec Victoria version
Unfortunately, the sunrise enhancement, limited though it may have
been in Seattle and south, didn't turn up here at all.
There was a brief bit of peaking around 1430-40UT, otherwise, not too exciting
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
back to normal
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
the above, passing through
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
738 Tahiti 1329UT pop mx, heard again at this level 1401UT and 1426UT
w/ man or man and woman in French
1566 HLAZ woman talking in Chinese 1435UT; the signal was erratic but
was mostly audible at a lower level from 1430 to well past 1500UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
1593 man talking 1439UT, sounded more Chinese than NHK programming
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
594 603 819 1386 1575
best wishes,
Nick
