[IRCA] TP 16 Dec Victoria version
Quite a lot of 1566, and a couple of others now and again, plus some
carriers. Hope that means that things are recovering somewhat
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1566 HLAZ peaked 1545-46UT with woman in Chinese over and around a
variety of vocal music. Had pretty much been in continuous audio at
a lower level since about 1430UT, and didn't really quit until around
1610UT. Erratic fading levels pretty much the whole time
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
the above, passing through
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
the above passing through
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
1044 ? slow female vocal music 1333UT, then man talking which may
have been DU English, but too far in the murk
1116 man talking on phone, sounded DU English inflection 1323UT
1593 man talking 1512UT, and again 1540UT. Both times, could have
been Chinese, but shortwave parallels seemed to have similar strength
to this, so the best one could say is that they too had a man talking
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)

best wishes,
Nick
