[IRCA] TP 10 Dec Victoria version
I don't know how early Bruce started recording, but here 1330-1400UT
was where the action was, the best in some while. There was a
little bit a sunrise boost, but not anywhere near the strength of earlier
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
594 JOAK two men in Japanese 1346UT
747 JOIB man in Japanese, woman in English 1401UT; this was heard
for part of the music box s/off, but pretty poor by 1540UT
774 JOUB thundering //828 at 1329UT; wasn't quite this good at its
last hurrah, man in Japanese 1523UT
828 JOBB woman in Japanese 1329UT //774, NHK mention just as it
started to fade down
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
972 HLCA man in Korean 1340UT
1053 Korean jammer 1330UT
1116 4BC man saying "on 4BC" into a commercial
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
612 4QR man in DU English, another man on phone 1520UT
1287 JOHR man in Japanese 1336UT, another man and a woman agreeing with him
1566 man in Japanese 1332UT; heard also during later Chinese program
but not quite this level
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
774 3LO 6 pips 1500UT, ABC fanfare, soon taken over by JOUB again
873 JOGB woman talking //774 1434UT
954 man talking 1336UT, Japanese inflection; lots of 950 splash
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
702 846 855 864 891 1026 1107 1134 1188 1242 1269 1323 1386 1458 1575
best wishes,
Nick
