Yes, Rob, some fanatical Japanese DXers have been inspired by some fanatical American DXers to spend some serious Yen to visit the Rockwork 4 cliff in July-- and personally experience one of the wildest and wackiest DXing sites on the planet.
Â
Part of the attraction for them is the chance to hear 738-Tahiti, 558-Fiji and the S9 New Zealand DX that routinely shows up there in the summer. The Japanese have a pretty tough time tracking down the Kiwis, mostlyÂbecause of local QRM, and propagation that favors Australia.
Â
With the Rockwork cliffs increasingly popular with both DU-DXers and "sleeping squatters," the Japanese may feel like they are right at home (in crowded downtown Tokyo).Â

Like the other Japanese Ultralight radio enthusiasts, Hiroyuki is a Perseus-SDR DXer who finds Ultralight radios an interesting new challenge.

GaryâThat sounds pretty cool that a group of the Japanese DXers are coming over to hang out on your cliff!!!
I'm just taking a wild guessââthat you are planning to be there at the same time in July??!! HAHHAHAHAââ..
You'll be able to show them the ropes and share all your trade secrets!
Hopefully they will have some Killer Conditions while they are there!!
