[IRCA] TP 19 Nov Victoria version

Pretty much back into the bucket, as Gary has pointed out. There was some life from the bigger guns between 1300 and 1400UT (and the slgnal strength monitor said there was life before then too), but by 1400UT, it was a DXer's wasteland out there. Tahiti made a welcome appearance around 1445UT, and there was a bit of and Asiatic lift from 1500UT onwards, with JOAK making quite a readable noise a few minutes before local sunrise.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

only in dreams

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK woman in Japanese 1519UT; still a bit of audio 10 minutes later
738 Tahiti, island vocals, woman in French 1444UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

774 JOUB man in Japanese 1345UT; although pips were heard at 1500UT followed by a man talking, didn't meet this strength. Was still making an effort at 1529UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

612 4QR man talking, then woman, DU English inflection 1302UT, fading up after the hour 828 JOBB pips notes at 1300UT, with intro music to Korean lessons; also may have been the one with man talking 1524UT, Japanese inflection
1566 man and woman talking, maybe Japanese, then piano music 1313UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

 1593

best wishes,

Nick
