[IRCA] TP 17 Nov Victoria version

Considerably more life this morning, as well as a number of carriers with "almost there" audio. Only CNR1 on 1593 showed a real sunrise lift however.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

774 JOUB man and woman in Japanese //828 1443UT
828 JOBB English lessons // weaker 774 1423UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

972 HLCA man in Korean, then woman 1404UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

567 JOIK man in Japanese 1303UT, no // at this time
747 JOIB English lessons 1441UT
1566 HLAZ woman in Chinese 1424UT; this also reached this level a few times during the earlier Japanese program, but the Chinese program isn't beamed straight at North America's west coast.
1593 CNR1 woman in Chinese //6125 1511UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

594 JOAK man talking //567 1311UT
738 woman talking, French inflection 1443UT, a bit of an exception on an Asian morning 1512 faint group vocal music with a catchy rhythm 1502UT; nothing on hour of course.

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

621 693 702 819 846 891 945 954 1017 1026 1098 1107 1116 1134 1143 1179 1242 1287 1314 1377 1386 1494 1557 1575

best wishes,

Nick
