I could smell the ionospheres indifference to my desire for better radio
last
night before I tucked in -- and the threat of R2 D2 G2 radio blackouts
sealed the deal like a swig of Jack Daniels and a sleeping pill.

I would occasionally open my eyes around 1300 UTC, chuckle and then fall
back asleep.
