Yes, I have one. It really works well on older communications receivers. The unit is pretty quiet and it is very sharp. Some receivers do better with it than others. The R8 is really doesn't do as much because the L/C selectivity in the R8 is sharp enough.  It does well with the SPR4 and well as the R1000. It can cut down on some sideband splash too. One thing it probably helps on is in the city where there are higher powered locals as it would get rid of cross modulation. Here we do not have that with our weakest locals.  I bought mine from John Bryant about 10 years ago. Each time I use it of think of him .Losing John was a big loss.
