[IRCA] a taste of TP 28 Sep Gabriola version
There was far too much in the recordings to do a timely report, so I
just scanned 531 to 792 at 1400UT to see what was there:
558 HLQH //603, single pip on hour fair to good; a jammer there also?
567 JOIK fair //594
576 2RN weak, ABC fanfare
585 unID weak, man talking Chinese?
594 JOAK. huge. Music underneath also
603 HLSA good, woman in Korean //558; something else also
612 NHK1 weak man talking //594
621 haranguing man, poor, N. Korea?
639 CNR1 pips weak, someone else too
666 JOBK fair to good //594; someone else too
675 Vietnam; chimes, poor to fair, 6 pips on hour, last one
elongated, all the same pitch
693 JOAB good, but struggling with CBU-690 splash
702 NHK2 //774, fair
711 KBS? weak but man sounding Korean, 3 and 1 pips on hour
738 briefly fair with instrumental music, not //1143?; something else too
747 JOIB very good, interlude at end of Chinese lessons
765 weak Chinese pips starting just after the hour
774 JOUB excellent level, into news English from Chinese
lessons. Chinese pips on hour also
This was not your Victoria version. The nearby salt water of Georgia
Strait was definitely having an effect on the proceedings.
best wishes,
Nick
