I was surprised to hear that report, I wasn't home this morning so no
chance for me to get up early and ruin it for all of you! Thanks for that
clip, really is across the room audio!
It seems Nigel was making his quick check using the Perseus without the
antenna selection capability see:
http://microtelecom.it/map/PerseusServers.html and therefore using the
Wellbrook ALA100, which normally isn't the best choice for MW when I have
several decently long beverages to choose from. So for the next few days
I've programmed the 4 antenna ports to be 1 and 2 are Wellbrook loops of
differing height and wire length; 3 is the 1000' west (VK) beverage and 4
is the 2100' Eu beverage. Antennas are switched using the 4 ATT settings.
The actual attenuation function isn't active but the S meter is adjusted
for the various ATT factors so it will be off by the amount of ATT it
thinks is in the circuit, but isn't.
