[IRCA] TP 22 Sep Victoria version

Definitely back to Asian, but except for the Japanese big guns, still pretty erratic. Those big guns were showing themselves as early as 1030UT, but at 1200UT, there was weak Aussie pips on both 774 and 828 mixing with NHK2, and all pretty weak. Things seemed to peak between 1330 and 1345UT.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

774 JOUB Chinese lessons 1334UT, but there was a man talking underneath also, so maybe 3LO was trying to creep through?
828 JOBB Chinese lessons 1331UT
1566 HLAZ woman in Japanese, into organ music and choir. 1331-2UT, though at this level many times during Japanese program, just happened to note this.

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK woman in Japanese 1332UT
747 JOIB woman in Japanese //774 at 1310UT
972 HLCA emotional oriental singing by woman 1327UT, only at this level briefly
1053 Korean jammer 1337UT
1287 JOHR two men in Japanese 1329UT
1566 HLAZ man in Chinese 1213UT; also came back quite well at 1345UT after Japanese program

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

738 rhythmic pop likely Tahiti 1241UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

567 JOIK man in Japanese 1320UT //594
576 unID gospelish vocals 1320UT, 2RN? no parallels
738 Taiwan Fisheries. traces of soft music //1143 which was stronger, 1343UT
819 man in DU Englishe? 1341UT
864 man talking, Japaese inflection? 1341-45UT
891 JOHK briefly, man talking //594 1334UT
1143 Taiwan Fisheries. soft music, seemed to match web stream 1343UT, clinched by //738
1242 woman in Japanese? 1340UT
1386 NHK2 woman talking 1336UT //828

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

612 702 873 909 963 1008 1044 1098 1116 1134 1179 1269 1503

best wishes,

Nick
