My VACTROL sweeps from around 120 ohms (and that is a design thing that I
can change/lower) to around 3 K ohms.

I find my actual sweep of useful termination resistances are between 750
and 950 ohms - I have not yet done a complete calibration on
my current prototype (and I am building 3 more quickly with hopes of
on-demand production for other dxers...)

I use a 10 turn 1K pot in the DC controller and a calibrated 14 revolution
knob that is divided in 1/10ths

So far I have only concentrated on the low band / 530 khz to 1100 khz and
it is quite remarkable dialing out offending stations from the South/South
East!
