[IRCA] TP 10 Sep Victoria version

All DU yet again, with 4QR ending things on a high note. I'm not sure they would appreciate the comparison with the fat lady singing, but they have had a pretty portly signal just around sunrise the last few mornings. Beforehand though, the DX was a bit harder to gather, with a lot of near imaginary parallels

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

612 4QR female vocal, annoucer: "Danny Boy, with not a dry eye in the house" 1324UT, then went into an interview with the vocalists Celtic Woman. In and out at good level until after 1345UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

1116 4BC man saying "Brisbane's news....4-B-C" 1333UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

774 3LO man in DU English 1237UT, into jazz guitar; ID'd various times with parallels
819 RNZ National man talking enthusiastically //567 1304UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

531 unID man talking 1321UT, didn't quite sound like DU English
594 3WV man talking //774 1226UT, both pretty close to imaginary, this fading up as 774 faded down. 603 R. Waatea quiet vocal music 1247UT //765, near imaginary, but have heard both before
675 RNZ National woman talking 1310UT //567
738 2NR man talking seemed //774 1245UT, but both were pretty poor
738 vocal pop not //ABC 1318UT likely Tahiti
792 4RN man talking //576 both were rough copy 1302UT
891 man talking DU English? 1323UT
1035 ZB man talking 1248UT //1008

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

882 909 1098 1503

best wishes,

Nick
