[IRCA] TP 31 Aug Victoria version

Nothing really happened until 1300UT or so, and then, quite a pleasant little DU showing, including my first logging of 4KZ-531 at home

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

no

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

531 4KZ Very weak, but clear on this quiet channel; 6 pips at 1300UT, then "...news on 4-K-Z" by man; lasted at varying levels of readability for several more minutes 1035 Newstalk ZB man in DU English talking to another man on the phone at 1313UT; //1098 which was very rough at the time

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

612 4QR man in DU English, also a quiet channel to allow readability, weak but clear , //774 at 1335UT
702 man talking DU English, 1327UT, but no parallels available
774 3LO faded up to this level 1335UT, man talking //612

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

909 Star, man talking 1327UT //963
963 Star, laid back vocal //909 at 1310UT
1098 Newstalk ZB man talking 1311UT //1035, though rough to get both up at the same time
1278 female pop vocal, man talking 1305UT
1503 man talking 1325UT, seemed DU English

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

567 738 801 891 1107 1287 1323 1566

best wishes,

Nick
