[IRCA] Arizona TP March 12th

(6-foot tuned loop, 23-foot vertical, Quantum Phaser, RTL-SDR)

I think Gary's description of conditions as "vibrant" fits here as well.
There seemed to be two broad signal peaks from Japan, one centered near
5:25am MST (1225UT) and another centered near 6:20am MST (1320UT). Local
sunrise was at 6:45am MST (1345UT). I had a little equipment problem that
took me off the air at 1337UT, but conditions were way down by that point.

I finally caught some good audio during the English lessons on 774-JOUB
during the 1200-hour peak. Let the record show that the first intelligible
English I've received on the AM BCB from overseas was the ever-popular
question "Were you taken to the hospital?". I also picked up some weak
audio on presumed 747-JOIB during the 1300-hour peak.

As far as Korea, although 1566-HLAZ wasn't very strong this morning, I did
catch some audio from presumed 972-HLCA shortly after 6am MST (13UT) that
sounded Korean. I also picked up some weak audio on 1593 which might have
been China, but it would have been too weak to try to look for parallels on
shortware.

Some recordings are available at:

I had quite a few carriers on the low band including a couple that were
near audio, and there were probably others, but with my tuned antennas I
can't monitor everything and still get optimal recordings. I mostly ignore
the middle of the band since there isn't anything strong there.

Summary:
Fair-good audio: 774, 972
Marginal-weak audio: 747, 1566, 1593
Strong carriers: 828, 864
Other carriers: 693, 738, 765, 873, 945, 963, 981, 1422, 1503, 1521, 1557
