[IRCA] TP 14 Jan Victoria version

Things actually did look up a bit this morning. 1575 finally arrived here, briefly, but pretty good strength, plus a few lower strength oddments pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

not quite yet

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

1575 VoA likely with man and woman in SE Asian language, also man interviewing another man on the phone. Although heard weakly as early at 1514UT, this peaked quite suddenly, 1542-1547UT, then rapidly faded.

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

1566 HLAZ joined the brief sunrise peak at 1545UT, woman in CC

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

774, 828 and 594 all had the NHK pips at 1400UT, not much else though.
837 man talking 1459UT, maybe DU EE?, but nothing identifiable at 1500UT
1116 4BC? man talking, DU EE inflection 1430UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

612 738 891

best wishes,

Nick
