On the same weekend as the LBI DXpedition I was DXing at Grayland, on the Washington state ocean coast. Trans-Pacific conditions on Saturday morning (11-8) were not bad, but certainly not up to the standards of previous years. Propagation took a major dive on Sunday morning because of the flare, and was only partially restored on Monday morning (11-10). Overall conditions were so-so, even for this lackluster season.

I should also point out that in summary, conditions really weren't all that 
good for 
TA's nor for LA's. Some new domestics, and a new Cuban or two, but the big 
solar 
flare that weekend really clobbered us. Looking at the early PEI results 
were really 
a 'what might have been' for us.
