Re: [IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 11-14

Richard,
This Asian season is by far the weakest sinceÂour Ultralight radio group was formed in late 2007. There have been about 3 or 4 good days when second-tier stations like 603-HLSA, 657-Pyongyang and 738-BEL2 have had strong audio here in Puyallup, but for the most part it has been a dreary season of chasing wispy audio from the Japanese and Korean big guns. The fact that any TP audio at all has shown up in Oklahoma is amazing, and is probably due to your new antenna.

Fortunately there is the DU-DXing season next summer, which is notÂdegraded by the overactive sun, and even seems to be enhanced by it.ÂOregon cliff hotspots like Rockwork 4 and Cape Perpetua should get some serious attention from TP-DXersÂeager to finally enjoy their hobby :-) I hope that you can join us one of these summers!

Gary:

I listened for about two hours this morning, suspecting I was
wasting my time. ÂStations from south of the border were much
stronger than usual. ÂIt continues to be a very frustrating season
thus far. ÂHopefully tomorrow!
