[IRCA] TP 8 Nov Victoria version

This morning was actually pretty near good. Lots of carriers and weak audio on second tier stations, if I listened long and hard. Might have been a good morning to have been listening on the coast....oh, wait...

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK woman in JJ, 1259UT, never quite got back to this level
774 JOUB man in JJ 1449UT
972 HLCA female vocal mx 1447UT, overall pretty good signals this morning.

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

693 JOAB 5 words of JJ //774 1259UT; CBU-690 took a brief breather to let this through.
747 JOIB woman in CC 1449UT, lots of splash
873 JOGB man in JJ //747, strongest of all the NHK2 at 1447UT (828 never was good at all this morning)

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

567 JOIK light female vocal 1352UT //594, then man in JJ
1053 KK jammer on past its bedtime? 1421UT, still being heard 1454UT.
1287 JOHR man in JJ 1450UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

603 HLSA slow but intense female vocal, violin solo, seemed //558 which was in heavy splash, 1402UT
864 woman talking 1405UT
891 JOHK man talking//594 1446UT
945 deep voiced man 1457UT, didn't sound CC, but only possible NHK1// was 891 and there was a woman there. 963 CRI distinctive oriental stringed mx leading up to chimes and fanfare on the hour, 1358UT, but gone by 1400UT 1017 CRI heard various times in previous hour, never very good, but CRI chimes and fanfare at 1500UT clinched it
1044 woman talking 1406UT
1134 slow female singing, almost N. Korean operatic 1451UT
1197 man talking 1408-13 then woman who sounded like a lot of other JJ female commercial announcers
1323 woman talking 1448UT; heard at other times also, but nothing identifiable

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

819 846 918 936 954 1008 1152 1188 1314

best wishes,

Nick
