BOGs work. ?Sky loops work. ?Was wondering how a ground "mounted" loop
might work as a non-directional receiving antenna. I can easily lay out a
300' loop in my back yard (more with creative geometry). ?The best test is
to just do it of course, but was wondering if anyone has any experience
with this configuration?

I made one today, 100' by 50' rectangle laid on the ground, fed to a 9:1
balun. It worked well enough for bcb reception, but it picked up a lot more
signal when I grounded the antenna loop side of the balun. It did not have
noticeable directionality as far as I could tell. Jim
