Re: [IRCA] TP 13 Oct Victoria version

Hi Nick,

It's great to have you back in the daily TP chase.

You really haven't missed very much-- except for September 23rd and October 11th (Saturday), the season has been pretty underwhelming. I hope that things will pick up before you guys headÂfor Grayland this weekend.

Subject: [IRCA] TP 13 Oct Victoria version

A morning that lasted quite a while...747, 774, 972 and 1287 all had
weak audio at 1500UT, half an hour after local sunrise, but
generally Âspeaking, there wasn't a lot of strong action. Â576 and
945 were somewhat out of the ordinary though.

ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):

738 Tahiti, woman and man in FF 1408UT
747 JOIB ÂCC lessons 1355UT
774 JOUB CC lessons 1355UT

Reasonable audio Âat Âtimes during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK Âman in JJ 1311UT, never got this strong later
828 JOBB CC lessons 1354UT
972 HLCA man in KK 1440UT, another man murmuring assent

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:

576, is this Mayak? Â 6 pips all the same pitch, last elongated,
1400UT, followed by some theme mx, man then woman in RR
945 CNR1? Â man in CC 1411 UT, but if it was //6125, then it was
badly leading or lagging; wasn't consistently strong enough to tell.
1566 HLAZ man in CC 1409UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)

603 HLCA? light mx 1403UT
702 NHK2 KK lessons //774 Â1405UT
819 R.NZ National. jazzy guitar mx 1357UT //567, got better as 567
faded to nothing
837 man talking, bits of instrumental mx, not //594 1312UT
846 NHK1 synchros, light flute mx, NHK pips 1400UT, seemed //594
which seemed undernourished at this time
1287 JOHR? Âwoman in JJ? 1427UT, still delivering some audio after
1500UT, with woman in apparent JJ.
1323 CRI? Âwoman talking, maybe RR? 1437UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)

558 864 891 909 Â954 1053 1206 1242

best wishes,

Nick
