[IRCA] 13 Oct 2014 TP's Victoria conclusion -

Like Dennis and Gary - somewhat down from the hot conditions 2 days ago --
but here are my observations

531 Japan - likely the wispy border line audio battling it out with 530 and
529...
funny there is a couple of dozen hertz difference on the upper and lower
around 530 and you
can hear the difference clearly.

567 JAPAN, Sapporo, JOIK NHK1 1350 with weak signal

576 RUSSIA, Khabarovsk, Radio Rossii - barely there with music 1345

594 JAPAN, Tokyo, JOAK NHK1 1320 - in and out various times, often leading
the pack for a few minutes

603 Korea, likely the pop music station here that was fairly steady from
1305 through 1350 at various stops

612 UNID - fairly steady throughout the later part of the listening period
never rising much above the noise
and splash

639 - just a wicked het harassing KFI Los Angeles all morning - never got
anything out of it.

675 - border line audio for a few minutes around 1340 UTC... nothing
materialized

702 JAPAN, NHK 2 Oddly and often better than 747khz which was not putting
on a good show

738 China/Taiwan - could not tell for trying who was who - seemed to be a
bit of a battle going on - but apart
from traces of Chinese speaking by YL - nothing definitive

747 Japan - pretty consistently audio throughout the listening period but
no where near as loud as 774 Khz

774 JAPAN, AKITA, JOUB NHK 2 1320 through 1350 pretty much the only
station in for the entire listen

819 Very loud het against 820 not yielding anything...

828 JAPAN, Osaka, JOBB NHK2 2nd steadiest signal of the morning

Border line audio on 837, 864, and 891

972 REPUBLIC OF KOREA, Dangjin, HLCA KBS 3rd most reliable signal this AM
- 1320 through 1405

1053 Jammer - making its yammering appearance every 10 minutes or so for a
minute or two - 1305 - 1410

1566 REPUBLIC OF KOREA, 4th most consistent signal of the morning - not
always great but always there and
audible.

1575 THAILAND, not great but always there trailing 1566 in level by several
S units.

DRAKE R8 and 15' Loop + ALA100M (yup, I need a bigger antenna...)
