[IRCA] TP 27 Aug Victoria version

Once more, a splashy morning, with a high band Aussie peak a couple of hours before sunrise, and finishing off with VoA-1575 being the best audio of the morning, and the only audio as sunrise approached. Low band outside of likely Tahiti-738 was a bust.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

not quite, VoA came close

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

1575 VoA. First noted w/weak audio just after 1250UT, peaking at 1257UT, and again at 1314UT, but still strong enough at 1300UT to allow fairly good VoA ID and Yankee Doodle. Still hanging in there at 1320UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

738 Tahiti? rhythmic pop vocals 1119UT
1566 3NE? woman in EE giving phone number 1121UT, followed by man in DU EE, very erratic fading

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

1566 choir mx likely HLAZ by 1235UT, as the high band Aussies had long gone by now.
1611 man talking 1120UT
1629 hum, w/woman talking shrilly (CC?) plus a man talking in the murk 1120UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

819 1116 1332 1422 1503 1512 1548 1557 1593 1683(hum) 1701 (hum)

best wishes,

Nick
