Re: [IRCA] [ABDX] Re: DUs into Michigan 8/17/2014

From Grafton WI 8/18. Decent carrier on 702 with SAH. Weak audio on 738 with FF gal 1055 and then mx and then too weak to copy by 1100 as things dumped right at SR. This stuff is usually better in Sept. 73 KAZ

>Back in July I woke up early one quiet morning in Barrington IL to take a 1000 recording which didn't have much of value on it, but about 25 minutes later as the sun was rising there was some weak audio from presumed 2BL. 738 had a carrier but now audio. 1017 had a decent carrier but would've needed several dB more signal for audio. It isn't uncommon for me to dredge up trace audio on 702 during DU season, provided things are quiet. That of course means power lines as well as atmospherics.
