Re: [IRCA] Madison-Milwaukee DX Get-Together is Only 10 Days Away

Hi Todd - It might not be under $50, but the Motel 6 near the intersection of Thierer Road and East Washington Ave. (a.k.a. U.S. Hwy. 151) is where Ernie W. and I will be staying Friday and Saturday night, and it will be close, price-wise. I tried to sweet-talk him into making a noontime meal stop in Iowa City (for sentimental reasons :) ), but we're going to be taking 151 from Cedar Rapids all the way up instead. I e-mailed South Bend, Indiana DXer Tom Laskowski about the GTG a few minutes ago. I've known Tom for nearly 25 years, and he has YET to attend one of the Wisconsin GTGs, despite his close proximity. I'm hoping that this will be the year that he finally makes it. See you on August 16th! 73,Rick DauSouth Omaha, Nebraska
