Earlier this evening I took a quick listen at 8:15 p.m. EDT (0015 UTC).
Lower medium wave wasn't all that great but above 1400 kHz there were
some interesting signals.
Iranians on 1476.255, 1503, and 1574.963 made a reasonable showing.
1503 was quite good at times. 1574.963 was running audio parallel to
1503 and was splittable from presumed UAE on 1575. The 1575 audio was
not as strong as the 1574.963 audio despite the carriers being nearly
equal.
Programming on 1476.255 differed from the 1503 // 1574.963 content.
Kuwait on 1593 was pushing up some audio (man and woman in Arabic).
1548, which used to have a decent signal, wasn't doing as well. The
adjacent "growl" carrier (UK?) on 1547.975 was about equal in strength.
Saudi 1521 was good but not "cruncher". This high-band enhancement
seemed to be more into the Persian Gulf region than anywhere else.
