A Very Important Message

Hello

As you know, protection of radio memories and memorabilia is the
reason why we exist. For the last few years, we've had to share the
cost of running the project with a growing number of people around
the world, and we're very grateful to those who share our passion and
have [often] regularly made donations towards keeping us afloat
financially.

Compared to 2013, already in 2014 we've seen increases in people
using the website:

New people +8%
Brazilians +103%
Indonesians +60%
Finns +56%
Americans +44%
Russians + 38%

It's really become much more of a global project. This is good
because more people from more places and cultures are sharing and
learning about radio heritage and history. Unfortunately, many of the
people who come to visit us can't afford to donate anything towards
our running costs, and businesses still keep telling us our visitor
numbers are too small to be of any interest to them so they don't
want to advertise or make donations.

So here we are, one week away from ending our financial year on
March 31, and only able to find 76% of the money needed just to pay
our operating costs, and leaving nothing for new equipment,
advertising, promotions, and improving our work.

We understand that radio history isn't a sexy issue, that it's not
something to think about every day, but we have to be here everyday
keeping the project going, keeping faith with people who make
donations, and making sure that more radio history and memories
aren't lost, thrown away or destroyed.

Seriously, if you can make a donation towards our operational costs
today, we and the 99% of the thousands who use the website every week
in the expectation it'll always be free and available will thank you.

Our target is $7,141 left to pay all our bills for the year ended
March 31. That's 34% of the total cost left to go. We can continue
doing our work as volunteers with greater confidence if we know the
bills are paid. And we have some wonderful new features already part
completed that we'd like to get finished and share with you in the
coming weeks.
