[IRCA] TP DX in Seattle on December 30

All of today's TP action happened above 1550 kHz, wit HLAZ-1566 and 
CNR-1593 producing unusually good signals.   There were a few carriers 
elsewhere on the dial - some of them on intriguing channels like 1098 
1116 and 1413.

Good - easily understandable by a native speaker
1566    HLAZ, quite nice today, best at 1344 with usual piano music, 
then woman closing the Japanese service, mentioning FEBC etc. Carrier 
cut for a bit, then back with cheerful Chinese man  & woman 1345. Still 
good with Chinese talk 1410

Fair - partially understandable by a native speaker
1593    CNR1, best signal in a long time, various announcements 1356, 
5+1 pips 1400, Chinese talk, "Zhongyang Renmin Guangbo Diantai, Zhongguo 
zhi Sheng" ID 140:40, then more newsy talk by man and woman.  It did a 
remarkably job fighting through the KLFE splatter for a while .  The 
signal took a dive around 1418 and never returned.

Poor - recognizable program content
1557     Woman and man in Chinese 1455, switched to music 1458, probably 
Taiwan
