Not a stellar morning, but an oddment or two, like weak audio on
1476. Oh, and NHK style pips (although sounding more like "beeps")
on the hour on KWYZ-1230, goes with the language, I guess.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1575 VoA fading up to this level 1600UT with VoA ID by man, and
thundered on, presumably in Bengali for about the next 10 minutes;
pretty much the only overseas station at this time, and the only one
to reach this level
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
774 JOUB briefly this level w/wx broadcast 1301UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
972 HLCA woman in KK 1539UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
738 Tahiti? woman talking, maybe FF?
747 JOIB pips, and into man w/wx //774 1300UT
891 unID, woman talking DU EE intonation 1533UT considerably better on W. Flag
1287 JOHR? vocal pop mx 1549UT
1476 unID. woman talking, vaguely CC sound, 1603UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
828 1116 1566
best wishes,
Nick
