Re: [IRCA] The Passing of Chicago Radio Legend Larry Lujak

W-L-S C-H-I-C-A-G-O! To a boy growing up in a small factory town in Tennessee, WLS represented everything cool in the world. Bright lights, big city, and rock and roll music. And the conductor of this wonderful circus was Larry Lujak.

Man, wasn't Top 40 radio great? He was missed on the air, and he'll be missed here on earth. Hope the ether treats you kindly, Larry!

Chicago lost a radio legend yesterday with the passing of
Radio Hall of Famer, Superjock Larry Lujak. His is
noted for his famous Animal Stories. From the late

WCFL 1000 and more recently a couple of other stations in
Chicago. He began his career in radio in the
northwest in the late 1950's.
