[IRCA] TECH: [ Mini-KAZ ]

I'm hoping one of the more experienced antenna builders can offer some 
advice. I live in a deed restricted community that does not allow for 
outdoor radio antennas of any kind. They also forbid things like 
flagpoles, etc.

Over the course of six years, I've been able to "bend" these rules a bit 
to allow me to install hidden or low profile versions of a few antennas 
including a Wellbrook ALA-1500 (mounted to the back side of my six foot 
tall privacy fence), two LF Engineering active whips, etc.

While these offer reasonable performance, and have allowed me to 
continue to DX, I continue to look for alternatives that offer better 
performance. Right now, I'm considering a small version of the KAZ or 
other delta-type antennas. I have plenty of room in the back yard for 
the horizontal parts of the antennas, it's the vertical center mast that 
is the problem. The privacy fence is only six feet tall, and anything 
above that height attracts scrutiny. I could manage a 10 foot mast, but 
not the 18 foot required by the smallest version of the antenna that 
I've seen.

Would it be possible to fashion a working version of the KAZ using only 
a 10 foot vertical section? How would this affect the other element 
lengths? What about the matching transformer?

My primary interest is in domestic DXing,with Western states being my 
primary targets. If it has a "K" callsign, then I'm interested in DXing 
it. Any and all suggestions welcome and appreciated!
