Well, nothing changed about my estimation of "the Blanket is Back"
after perusing the recording. 1566 did deliver some pretty stunning
strength around 1530 to 1545UT, but aside from VoA-1575, nothing much
else. It was the top of the band or nothing, pretty much, and that
after 1520UT
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1566 HLAZ woman in CC at 1532UT, Amazing Grace sung at top
volume Thundering in 1542UT with two women in CC
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
1575 VoA. portentous mx, woman SE Asian language 1537UT. VoA jingle
ID 1542UT as it faded down
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
1593 CNR1 man in CC //6125 1537 and 1549UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
774 JOUB man talking, JJ inflection, woman talking EE inflection 1521UT
1044 CRI woman in JJ 1514UT //7220 5980 (had lots of time to look for
parallels)
1557 likely Taiwan? female vocal mx 1547UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
594 747 909 972 1287 1314 1323 1404 1422 1503
best wishes,
Nick
