[IRCA] TP 3 Nov, Victoria version

Things once again got very strange and interesting between 1445 and 1500UT....and they weren't too bad beforehand either. I'm sure I missed things both live and on the recording....not enough hours in the day to go through it all in detail. The big guns were big, but not always, 828 was often quite weak.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK JJ rock mx 1437UT; this was still readable at 1600UT "Tokyo wa..." pips on the hour, fading after hour 747 JOIB Viennese waltz type mx up to pips at 1300UT, then wx report (lots of JJ numbers)
774 JOUB EE lessons 1434UT, and many other times
828 JOBB man in JJ 1409 UT, briefly at its best

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

279 R. Rossii man in RR 1417UT
567 JOIK man w/JJ talk, mx in background 1439UT
963 CRI stringed mx 1357UT, leading up to chimes and fanfare on hour
972 HLCA man in KK 1414UT...this was probably louder at some point, but it wasn't a star performer today
1287 JOHR woman in JJ 1448UT, briefly; this too was an underperformer today

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

603 Hulun Buir?? woman in CC with little musical interlude 1445UT, no sign of HLSA.
693 JOAB man in JJ 1418 popping out from behind CBU splash
837 unID CC man 1344UT
837 JOQK man in JJ //567 1420UT
918 China...somewhere in there is an ID "guangbo dientai" by man 1400UT, plus two sets of offset CC style pips about 12 seconds after the hour
936 Anhui? CC talk by woman 1502UT, nothing much on hour
1044 CRI man in JJ //7410 1430UT
1143 Taiwan? woman singing CC style 1508UT
1206 Yanbian? woman then man in KK 1359UT; no pips, no recognizable ID on the hour
1242 JOLF? woman talking JJ inflection 1612UT (!)

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

531 JOQG man , JJ talk //567 1405UT
558 HLQH? quiet ballad 1443UT, not //603, because 603 was China
639 CNR1 man talking //945 but leading by nearly a second. 1446UT
648 unID man talking 1438UT
783 unID China. woman talking, then CC pips 1500UT
792 unID China. Man holding forth 1457UT; CC pips on the hour
864 man talking, JJ inflection , rapid commercial patter 1442UT
1089 unID man holding forth, no clue as to language, 1451UT; gone by 1500UT
1503 JOUK woman talking //594 1449UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

621 675 756 801 999 1035 1098 1323

best wishes,

Nick
