To me it sounded surprisingly more Parisian than Creole. That was my first impression when I heard the "Radio Diffusion" bit. Okay. Maybe I'm exaggerating. But a rather light Creole accent; I don't know what French sounds like In Guadeloupe et al...
Anyhow, I'm not surprised Bruce was able to get it. Thank you for reporting that.
It was surely not at night-time power. But cx were also very good to the south.
