Some slightly better conditions today, but all reported here are at
peak levels, usually they were much worse. Concerning Bruce's
comments about carriers....I think by this time of year, they can
hang in pretty late, but audio, a whole other thing. This morning,
828 was still delivering burbles by a man at 1518UT here, but nothing
identifiable. And of course, Walt heard JOUB sign off a couple of days ago.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
774 JOUB briefly at this level with EE lessons 1421-2UTC
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
828 JOBB CC lessons 1332UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
567 JOIK man in JJ, NHK1 interlude mx, 1420UT
747 JOIB man talking, EE lessons 1425UT
1116 4BC? woman in DU EE briefly at this level 1334UT
1566 HLAZ choral mx 1353UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
594 JOAK man talking JJ inflection 1351UT, and other times, but never
amounted to much
702 2BL? man talking DU EE inflection 1426UT
738 Tahiti? woman and man talking FF inflection 1330UT
873 JOGB EE lessons //774 1424UT
891 JOHK man in JJ talk //567 1421UT
972 man talking KK inglection perhaps, 1426UT
1017 unID woman talking, too messy for language guess 1336UT
1053 KK jammer 1351UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
612 675 837 918 945 954 1242 1287 1575
best wishes,
Nick
