Re: [IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 9-21

It must be a limitation of the archive Gary. Fortunately, the 21st is still there, so I downloaded the file from 1320UT (2120 Taiwan time). It's delineated "Ho Hi Ya" , the only Roman characters on the file listing. And it is a woman talking at 1326UT. After 1327, she stops and a man starts talking, but it sounds like a different audio feed...a little rougher. He sounds similar to your man accounting for your lower audio bandwidth, but he never talks to a woman. A woman takes over in the file at about 1333UT.

So, either they put something else in the archive (to replace on-air discussions of love life?), or I've got my times wrong. Yet I know the archive works because I was able to capture a parallel with 1143 just after 1400UT on coincidentally September 21st.

Puzzling.

best wishes,

Nick

I tried to match up your recording

with the archive at
http://www.frs.gov.tw/newweb/live.asp?d=2013/9/26, and couldn't
manage it, at least at first hearing. >>>

Nick,

That particular 738 kHz MP3 is only 25 seconds long, and not at a particularly strong strength. If you would like to try matching a much stronger (and longer) 738 kHz MP3 recorded recently, the recording linked below is almost 3 minutes long, and mostly at a potent strength, It was recorded on September 21st this month at 1326, and was the strongest signal that the station has had here in several years.

http://www.frs.gov.tw/newweb/live.asp?d=2013/9/26, and couldn't
manage it, at least at first hearing. On the other hand, I was able
to do so with a 1143 recording and an earlier archive. And the
thought that I'm hearing a station from Taiwan that you are not seems
a little unlikely, hi.

best wishes,

Nick
